From the Archive: Salonwear are Celebrating National Massage Day 2014
The 16th May has been dedicated to National Massage Day, where everyone in the UK is encouraged to reach out and touch or massage someone they care for. This pro-touch awareness campaign sees over 1000 therapists and people get involved to show the benefits of massage.
We would like to commemorate this day by showing extra support to our charity partner, Breast Cancer Haven (formally The Haven), who offer excellent programmes for women with are affected by breast cancer.
Our Haven Tunic is a great fundraiser for Breast Cancer Haven as £1.00 from each purchase of the garment goes to the charity. The garments show their support through a pink ribbon logo embroidered on one sleeve and are available in black and white with a hot pink trim for just £15.00.
Since opening the first Breast Cancer Haven Yorkshire support centre in 2000, the charity has helped over 10,000 people living with breast cancer and they are dedicated to being the only charity that provides free programmes of support to their visitors.
However each programme costs £1,000 and with over 55,000 people diagnosed with the disease each year, it is essential to keep raising money.
Since Salonwear Direct created and launched The Haven Tunic in 2009, they have managed to raise over £21,000 through the sale of this product. This in turn, has funded 21 people through their programmes.
