q1. how do I place an order?
a1. Orders can be made online, by fax, phone, or by post. Please post your order (with payment details) to: Salonwear Direct, PO Box 45, Leeds LS11 9HT or fax your order to 0113 2434534. Orders will not be processed until payment is received in full. Please note that we will also accept email orders to info@salonweardirect.co.uk. Orders on the website will be confirmed only when we send you acknowledgment confirming receipt of your order, this will usually be done via email. Prior to this acknowledgement being sent to you, orders on the website are subject to change. Salonwear Direct reserves the right to amend any order placed on the website until we confirm receipt. If you do not receive this confirmation note then please contact us immediately.
q2. how can I pay?
a2. To buy online you need to set up a PayPal account. For phone, fax and postal orders we accept the following debit and credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch, Solo and Visa Electron. Alternatively you can pay by cheque or postal order - payable to 'Salonwear Direct'. Please note you must write your home address and cheque card number on the back. Orders will not be processed until payment is received in full.
q3. how do I sign up for paypal?
a3. If you're not already a member it's quick and easy to join -

q4. how long does delivery take?
a4. Garments in stock at the time of order are usually despatched the next day but please allow up to 7 working days for delivery. For non-stock items, please allow up to 21 days for manufacture and delivery. This does not apply to embroidered items. Orders will not be despatched until payment is received in full.
q5.is there a postage and packing charge?
a5. All orders are subject to a postage and packing charge, which is a minimum of £3.50 and a maximum of £5 depending on the number of items. Orders are sent first class by Royal Mail.
q6. can I request express delivery?
a6. Yes. If items are in stock, we are able to offer an express delivery service (mainland UK only) at an additional cost per item ordered. Please telephone us for details.
q7. what is your returns and exchange policy?
a7. Should any stock item fail to meet your expectations, Salonwear Direct allows you to return the goods for an exchange or refund, as long as they are stock items and have not been made to special order, altered or personalised in any way. Please note refunds cannot be made UNLESS goods are returned in perfect condition within 14 days of receipt. All refunds are subject to a 10% handling charge. For returns & exchanges please complete the reverse of your delivery note & send with your garments. Exchanges must include £3.50 for 1 item or £5 for 2 or more items, for postage & packing. In all cases we advise you to obtain proof of postage. Please allow up to 14 working days for returns to be processed once they reach our warehouse.
q8. do you offer embroidery?
a8. Yes. Salonwear Direct offers a high quality embroidery service, which allows you to personalise your garments to suit your individual needs.
Using the highest quality equipment, we can embroider your company name or names of your staff for a reasonable cost. You can also have your corporate logo applied to your garments if you wish.
Prices for embroidery (minimum order £15)
Lettering Only - (no graphics) - £6.99 per item.
Designed Logo - (with graphics) - one-off set up charge of £30. Run-offs will cost £4.99 per item.
DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE FOR 12 ITEMS OR MORE
At present, you cannot order embroidery online, but feel free to email, fax or phone us with your request, and one of our team will talk you through the process. We have a choice of various different fonts and colours available.
q9. how do your sizes compare to standard high street sizes?
a9. Our garments are cut to allow freedom of movement and comfort for work. To ensure that you receive the correct size, it is vital that you compare your body measurements to the size chart here. Our garments are an average fit, so if you are generally a size 12 in the high street, we advise that you order a size 12.
q10. do you manufacture special sizes?
a10. Should you require a special size garment beyond size 24 please contact us. There will be an additional tailoring charge, call for details. These items are cut individually and cannot be refunded.
q11. do you offer a bespoke service?
a11. Yes. We manufacture everything here in our own factory so we can be more than flexible in meeting your requirements. For example, we may be able to offer garments in additional colours to the ones featured on this website. Please contact us for more details.
q12. do you offer discounts for larger orders?
